Hello
How are you today?
There's a foggy drizzle (or maybe a drizzly fog) outside today. So I'm planning a cosy indoor crafting afternoon.
But Before I get settled into that, I want to show you something very wonderful which arrived in the post yesterday.
What do you think of that?
and that's before you've even seen what's inside!
I'm sure you would love to see what's under that wrapping paper? As you can imagine I could hardly contain myself!
Look at that Beautiful needle case with it's cute little busy bees and the Gorgeous, GORGEOUS fabric covered note book, Isn't it wonderful?!
This is the front of the notebook and the sweetest little crocheted flower brooch.
What wonderfully creative and talented person made these? and what outstandingly generous person sent them?
It was Arianwen who's lovely blog I visit often. I entered her giveaway for a goodie bag. I knew that what I recieved would be lovely, but I never imagined I would recieve so MANY wonderful gifts! I was completely taken by suprise, I just can't get over Arianwens generosity. It must have taken her hours to make these things and the fabics and colours she has used are so rich and gorgeous, her work so neat and fine. I'm totally bowled over, I really am. I shall absolutely treasure these things. I'm going to pin the flower brooch on my favourite bag and the needle case which is such a joy is going to always be close at hand. I am also going to find a very special use for the notebook.
Arianwen you're an angel
Thank you so very, very much xxxx
Whilst on the subject of Giveways I must tell you that my lovely new friend Floss is having an 'Auld Alliance' giveway to celebrate her 100th post.
She is giving away all these amazing vintage French and Scottish goodies
a whole bunch of very lovely and most interesting things .

Today is your lucky day folks! because I am also posting the link to a 2nd Grand Giveway.
One of my very earliest and dearest bloggy friends, the amazingly talented, super witty ( honestly I have laughed out loud so many times when visiting her blog) and generous (by golly, wait until you see what she is giving away!) Aneela of Comfort stitching.
You are not going to believe this!
Can you believe it?! or do you think your eyes are decieving you? l did.
I even considered starting up some new blogs so that I'd have more chances of winning this beauty!
Isn't is Stunning?!
I would give my eye teeth, hind legs, 11th toe (if I had one) and right arm for this.
I must say I am in two minds about giving you this link because it lessens my chance of winning. So before I change it, here goes.....the amazingly beautiful, stunning, fantastc quilt giveaway ..... Phew! that was hard.
You have until Monday 18th of May to join in.
Happy 100th post Birthdays to Aneela xxx and Floss xxx

See what I mean? the creative community's generosity knows no bounds.
A Big Thank you Sal, Lyn, Mel, Emma and Melanie
If you don't already know them, Please visit their fabulous blogs.
~ Here are my awards ~

As many of you will know, these awards are meant to be passed on to a selected number of friends. I was faced with a big dilema, I just could not pick! I wanted you all to have have one! So that is what I am going to do folks. A bit radical perhaps, but I am a newby to blogging so it's possible I'll get away with it, being that I don't yet know all the rules and etiquette and stuff and being that I'm a weeny bit of a rule bendery, rebelious (but only in a nice way) sort of person.
Come on then, what are you waiting for?! Don't be shy.
You can each pick the award that tickles your fancy, please do I really want you to ( :o) that's if you'd like one), and take it back to your blog knowing that you are very much awarded and appreciated by me.
You can pass it on to others if you wish and for the first two, you can tell us what your 7 favourite things are - we are all dying to know! So if you take awards no 1 or 2 that is what's expected. I am going to (again bending the rules ever so slightly) tell you what my 7 favourite crafts are in a future coming post.
On to something else I want to show you.
Last night I showed Miss Mary this Oh so cute! post.
Of course she absolutely adored it and putting her own thinking cap on came up with an idea.
"Mum can you make Audrey a hat like that? Please!"
Below is Audrey modelling a little creation I whipped up last night, which I must say I am ever so proud of. Because a) it's the very first time I have crocheted a hat. b) it's the very first time I have created a fancy edging out of thin air. Honestly I didn't have a clue how to make one but it came to me in seconds. One of the magical things about crochet is that once you're getting the hang of it ( I've only been doing it a couple of weeks) it's so quick and easy and inspirational. And c) I also had to magic up some very tiny little fairy sized flowers to sit on it (again out of thin air). I am having so much fun with experimenting with crochet.
Hope you have a happy afternoon
and evening :o)
xx
